While Netflix Is Trying To Stop Losing Subscribers With New Pricing Plans, Including A More Affordable Plan That Will Add Adsalso proposes to strengthen an engagement beyond movies and series: video games.
Video games appear on Netflix integrated in an additional channel, only available from mobile devices
And this despite the fact that Netflix video games don’t seem to have many users within the platform (barely 1.7 million under 200 million subscribers), where they appear as an additional channel, but only in the apps installed on mobile devices.
After its appearance in 2021, it was announced that there would be fifty titles this year in 2022 and that announcement is supplemented by the agreement reached by Netflix and Ubisoft that for now includes the launch of three new video games on the Netflix platform, games that are exclusive to Netflix subscribers and that will not feature ads and in-app purchases.
The title that arouses the most expectation is a new episode of the popular saga “Assassin’s Creed” of which no further details have been provided and which will serve as a supplement to the real image sequence to be released soon on the streaming platform.
Another title announced is a sequel to “Valiant Hearts: The Great War” and finally “The Mighty Quest” will be released, a continuation of “The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot”, inspired by the dungeon genre, promising a new format in body-to-body battles.
These three new games are coming, as Netflix progresses, from 2023which seems to consolidate the company’s landing in the world of video games as a medium-term bet.
