LinkedIn has quietly introduced a new improvement in the way content is shared in the professional social network, making it easier for other people to post your posts to their contacts, which will increase the organic reach of the publications.
LinkedIn adds more options to the share button
Now it will be easier for anyone who wants to share content on the social network with their network of followers to do so. When you hit the “Share” button, LinkedIn now shows a pop-up menu with two options, as you can see in the image:
The “Repost” option allows the contact’s post to appear directly in other people’s feed. On the other hand, when you click on “Share and contribute your ideas”, a new content will be published with the user’s comments and in addition the contact’s publication.
These two options were already available on other social networks such as Twitter when retweeting content. Until now, however, LinkedIn did not offer this additional option.
In addition, it should be noted that any comments or “likes” made on that shared content will also count in the stats of the original post, which is a good incentive to get more interactions in the publications and that these get more be shared of course. .
On the other hand, displays the number of times a content has been shared in the original message. If you also click on the song in question, you can get information about which people are the ones who have shared the content with their followers.
This, which may seem logical and is a feature enabled on Twitter years ago, was until now unavailable on LinkedIn, which has already started implementing the novelty for its users. more than 700 million users (or rather, created accounts, that is the data provided by Microsoft, company that acquired the professional social network in 2016.
